On June 1, 2023 AD, corresponding to the twelfth of Dhu al-Qa’dah 1444 Hijri, Jordanians are looking forward to an exceptional royal wedding, as preparations for this auspicious wedding began nearly a month ago, with streets and buildings decorated with flags and pictures, in preparation for the wedding of His Royal Highness Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II bin Al Hussein to Ms. Rajwa bint Khalid Al Saif.

Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II is the eldest son of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, Crown Prince of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and a captain in the Jordanian Armed Forces/Arab Army.

Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II was born in Amman, Jordan, on June 28, 1994. He completed his undergraduate studies in international history at Georgetown University in the United States in 2016, then attended Sandhurst Academy in Britain until 2017, a royal military academy.

As fate would have it, Prince Al Hussein and Ms. Rajwa Al Saif were introduced through a close friend, and the Royal Court announced their engagement on August 17, 2022, and in this year, 2023, the royal and national wedding will take place at the beginning of June 2023.

The Crown Prince’s royal flag was announced to be a bundle of colored rays, and these colors are important and essential in Jordanian history:

Black: Represents the Abbasids.
White: Represents the Umayyads.
Green: Represents the Fatimids, and signifies Islam and Muslims.
Red: Represents the Hashemite dynasty and the Great Arab Revolt.
The seven-pointed star refers to the seven verses of Surah Al-Fatiha, as well as the unity of the Arab peoples.
Silver crown: The symbol of the monarchy, its central location signifies the mediation of His Highness the Amir between all the components of the colors of the royal flag, and his mediation between the spectrums of his Jordanian people.
